Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver | 7-10 March 2013, Singapore
Congress Chairman Update

APASL Liver Week 2013 confirmed for 6 – 10 June at Suntec Convention Centre, Singapore

Dear Colleagues,

You may have received announcements of the change in date of the APASL Liver Week 2013 meeting in Singapore from 6 – 9 March to 6 – 10 June . I understand there is still some confusion about this change. However, I would like to confirm that the dates for APASL Liver Week 2013 have now been fixed for 6 – 10 June at Suntec Convention Centre Singapore, and there will be no further changes.

This change in date has been necessary due to the unexpected delay in renovations to Suntec Convention Centre. An alternative venue, Sands Convention and Exhibition Centre was deemed unsuitable due to the breach in rules of the Singapore Association of Pharmaceutical Industries (SAPI) despite intense negotiations supported by our Ministry of Health. Consequently, the only alternative was to move the date of the APASL Liver Week 2013 to 6 – 10 June at short notice.

Despite these unfortunate circumstances, we believe APASL Liver Week 2013 will continue to maintain the very high standards we all expect, and will still be a very exciting congress to attend. I would like to thank you all for helping us achieve the following records:

  1. Highest number of submitted abstracts 2,064
  2. Largest exhibition area
  3. Highest sponsorship commitment

We are confident that this will be an outstanding meeting and can assure you that we will spare no efforts in order to ensure its success. We all look forward to welcoming you to an exciting APASL Liver Week 2013 in Singapore in June!

Sincerely yours,

Prof. Seng Gee Lim
Congress Chairman
